Dutch design duo Idiots (their term, not mine) are the latest incarnation in a long line of taxidermy artists, and when I say “artists” I do not mean the nefarious creators of jackalopes, etc.

A showreel showcasing experiments with motion effects and a dark, distorted synchronized audio soundtrack. This piece consists of pieces from random animations, but soundtrack really makes it work as a whole.

Mark Turpin's Pine Island: These architectural replicas, miniature doll houses, buildings and furniture are breathtaking. You can even have a custom replica of your home made. And the interiors are just as impressive as the exteriors. WOW.

I don't love the look of this watch so much as the idea - a diamond digital watch by collaborators Gourmet and Christian Tse. I like how the digital display appears through the white diamonds.

Beautifully detailed furniture by Christian Vivanco - all sides are carefully considered and the back is often as nice as the front.

Designboom's coverage of the Chilean pavilion at the Venice Biennale - I love the jellyfish-like pedestals, and the idea behind fetishising architecture in tourist trinkets.
