The non-profit project - the Watchmans Hut is a guest artist studio that gives artists the opportunity to commit themselves for a period of self-imposed exhile in nature - an opportunity for inspiration, tranquility and reflection in pristine nature.
The project addresses the dilemma of human inevitability of leaving traces in a nature one wishes to see untouched.
The objective is to create nine Watchmans Huts in extreme natures of Norway and Sweden (and perhaps other places?) and create spaces for artists where they can commit themselves for a period of self-imposed exhile in nature - an opportunity for inspiration, tranquility and reflection.
