Microagriculture in your own home? Bringing hydroponics, algae tubes and more into the kitchen at Farm Kitchen at 100% Design. Amazing installation designed by mette.

One of my highlights of 100% design this year was this fun, plant-filled installation space designed by mette sponsored by Gaggenau called Farm Kitchen.

The kitchen and cafe explore the integration of micro-agriculture within the kitchen, integrating hydroponics, algae tubes, grow lights and living walls of edibles within a beautifully designed environment. More pics below!

Hydroponics set up using lights from Bulbo.
Countertop chiles, growing happily under another Bulbo design.
Homegrown cabbages never looked so pretty! Sitting neatly on walls, the growing vegetables become an integral part of the design of the kitchen space.
The tubes that make up the Farm Kitchen logo will grow algae over the course of the show. On the counters, plants are grown under another design from Bulbo in pots as well as felt pockets.
The Gaggenau kitchen works beautifully with its microagricultural surroundings.
